Telehealth is a wonderful program!

“I had been sick around December for almost two weeks and wasn’t getting any better. I dropped my son off at preschool and thought about going to my general physician but that time of year it can sometimes be a two hour wait to see the doctor. I decided to try out the Telehealth program instead and I’m glad I did. The enrollment process only took about 15 minutes. Within 30 minutes from enrolling I received a call from a Teleheath physician while I was shopping in the shoe department at Target. The physician was very thorough and professional. After telling her my symptoms, I was diagnosed with an inner ear infection. She asked me who I use for my pharmacy and in no time at all I had two scripts waiting for me at Sam’s Club. My experience with Telehealth was extremely positive. The last thing you want to do when you’re sick is be around a lot of people and spend a lot of time waiting. With Telehealth in your corner being sick is a little more bearable.

I woke up one night in the wee hours unable to sleep because of pain in my neck. As time went by the pain was noticeably growing down my left arm, so I decided to do a little research on-line… which immediately gave me 5 or 6 possibilities – one of which was a hear attack. So I decided to call my Telemedicine provider.

Within minutes I was speaking to a doctor, at 4 AM, a very relaxed conversation. She assured me it was not a heart attack but a pinched nerve, and suggested I take some ibuprofen and it would go away in a couple of days. I did and it did.

Not going to the emergency room probably paid for my next ten years of premiums for Telemedicine provider.
